Volunteer Opportunities
Camp is a diverse ministry, offering our campers and guests lots of opportunities to interact with nature and each other. There are many ways to serve – inside and out, in season and off, retirees or students.
If you have a desire to support Tall Oaks Camp we would love to have you be a part of our ministry! We’re always happy to welcome new volunteers to our team! Volunteers during kids camp season will also undergo the same screening process that our staff undergo including but not limited to an application, interview, reference checks and thorough background checks to ensure that safety remains our number one priority!
Here are a few of our many needs:
Are you handy in the kitchen? We could use your help with preparing meals for our campers and clean up afterwards.
Do you have an interest in helping kids learn new skills in arts and crafts, archery, fishing, figuring out what they can purchase from the Canteen (camp store where they have designated amounts of money they can spend) etc? Please talk to us! Many opportunities exist!
If you have a special gift or talent in areas such as plumbing, electrical splitting wood, mechanical etc. We would love to talk to you! There are always general maintenance needs at camp!
We often have great projects especially in the spring but could involve painting, cleaning, clearing trails and fence lines etc.
We also have an organized spring clean up weekend and fall clean up weekend that we welcome all our volunteers to come together and serve together.
Helping to keep our grounds looking beautiful from planting flowers, weeding, watering & caring for the plants, trimming trees etc. Mowing the lawn typically getd done in the middle of the week during camping season and on Saturdays during kids camp season.
We have lots of lawn to mow and lots of weed whipping that needs to get done to keep our ground looking beautiful.
